Judy Nichols started her career working in all aspects of physician practices for several years including Cardiovascular Testing, Lab, Transcription, Coding, Billing, AR/AP, Physician Recruitment, and Practice Management. She helped found the Toledo Medic Users Group in 1991, aided several practices in starting the process toward electronic medical records, and worked as a consultant with a hospital reimbursement specialty organization before getting her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Louisville in Computer Information Systems.
She joined Aspect Software (then Quilogy) in 2006 as a Managing Consultant and ended as a Senior Director in their Professional Services Division leading their Services Healthcare Vertical and Collaboration Practice. In this role she was responsible for delivering solutions that enabled Aspect’s customers to more fully engage within the enterprise and to their consumer base. She was also a leader in the Aspect Women in Technology group.
In September of 2016 Judy, along with her partners Greg Petrites and Jessica Gray, launched a new company called Breakpoint Technology. Their vision was to build on their long standing commitment to customer relationships and to drive improvements within the enterprise through collaborative and innovative partnerships with the customer that focused on understanding the business needs first and foremost. Using the concept of a "breakpoint" or an intentional pause or rest point in which the programmer solves problems and find solutions, the company steps through business issues to help customers find the best approach in which to move forward rather than forcing them into a one size fits all scenario.
Judy is also a member of the Jefferson County 4H Council, a Board Member for the Kentucky Foundation for Women, 4H Leader for the Kids & K9s 4H Club, and an active Mission Volunteer through Watkins United Methodist Church. She has previously been an active volunteer for Jefferson County Public Schools, Eastern High School Soccer, Eastern High School Choir, and the YMCA sports program.
Greg Petrites brings a wealth of software development experience focused on providing business solutions with a secure and clean coding methodology. With a strong focus in healthcare and finance, his customer list has expanded to cover many business verticals.
Starting with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, Greg went on to be a strong contributor within the IT groups at GE, Humana, National Processing, and Kindred. In May 2005, he joined Aspect Software (then Quilogy) where he was able to draw upon those years of experience as a Senior Architect for the varied projects and solutions within the Professional Services group.
While in his time at Aspect, Greg served as a SharePoint Virtual Technology Specialist for Microsoft and led in the development of several frameworks used as the basis for Aspect Collaboration Practice sales. Greg was also heavily involved in teaching and mentoring the development team, leading many workshops around newer coding techniques and processes.

Jessica Gray has focused her business experience in developing customer applications that improve business process through technology design. Working closely with her customers, she is able to build a strong partnership that allows her to understand key elements of their business – helping to drive change that improves productivity and frees up key resources.
Jessica graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science. After experience at both Cummins and Appriss, she joined Aspect (then Quilogy) in 2008 where she worked with a variety of customers as part of the National Healthcare and Collaboration Services Practices
Jessica now serves as COO for Breakpoint Technology where she is able to continue working with customers to bring process improvements. Her strengths in technical design and customer relationship bring valued skill sets to Breakpoint customers.
Ed McGillis graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ed then went on to earn his Master's degree in Computer Science from the College of Engineering at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and he also currently holds the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Ed has spent nearly two decades in Technology, with the last decade spent in the professional services and consulting arenas. Ed started his career with Olin Corporation / Winchester working both in the office and out in the field creating and deploying technology solutions for office and factory workers.
Ed eventually moved on to accept a Senior Consultant position at Quilogy (later purchased by Aspect Software). This is where Ed was able to discover his passion for professional services by servicing Customers and delivering truly differentiated and value-added solutions. Over the next decade, this passion allowed Ed to hold multiple roles of increasing responsibility at Aspect Software culminating in a role as Director of Professional Services with oversight of Aspect's worldwide Business Intelligence, CRM, Collaboration, and Self-Service practices. In late 2018, Ed joined Breakpoint Technology as the VP of Emerging Technologies focused on identifying and evaluating technology opportunities, pollinating the best approach for the company, and helping to put together strategic and value added solutions for customers.
Anna Cassaro joined Breakpoint Technology in early 2019. She has a BS in Finance from Xavier University and has worked as a developer in the software consulting industry for over five years.
Being in consulting for several years, Anna has had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of technologies on projects ranging from software integrations to mobile applications. She specializes in .NET development, but also has built an extensive skillset with Microsoft PowerApps since joining Breakpoint.
Anna makes good use of her business background to help her understand the approach in developing custom solutions for our customers. She is very instrumental in creating an effective user experience and streamlining work processes to improve company workflows.
Evan Cloud has been serving as a SharePoint and .NET developer/consultant for over 10 years. He has extensive experience in helping customers develop solutions that improve business process and focus on overall workflow efficiencies for the organization. Evan graduated from the University of Louisville in 2009 with a BSBA majoring in Computer Information Systems.
Evan has worked for a variety of consulting organizations, starting with Quilogy/Aspect as an intern during his senior year at U of L and where he was then hired for a permanent position. After several years, he moved on to lead the SharePoint and workflow practices at other organizations before joining Breakpoint Technology as a Senior Developer in 2017.
Mike (Joseph) DeSalvo started his career with military service serving as an Adjutant General Corps Officer in the U.S. Army serving on active duty both in the U.S. and overseas. He has a Bachelor of Science, Engineering from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. For the past 20 years Mike’s experience has been in developing customer solutions, many of which are focused around process or data management.
Since joining Breakpoint Technology as an Architect, in its founding in September of 2016, Mike has focused heavily in healthcare data management, particularly in terms of revenue projections. His understanding of SQL, .NET, and process have pushed into Power BI, and cloud analytics.
John Gootee brings over 20 years of consulting experience to customer engagements and is passionate about helping customers overcome business challenges through practical application of technology. John earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Technology from Purdue University and also carries the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
His career started as a client server developer at Kraft Foods followed by independent technology consulting for Harris Bank in the Chicago metro area. After these experiences, John joined Aspect Software (then Solutech/Quilogy) in 1998 as a Consultant and remained at Aspect for 21 years ending in the role Lead Managing Consultant.
During time at Aspect, his contributions evolved from individual contributor to program lead, facilitator and customer trusted advisor. While building a successful project management solution practice, he served as a Microsoft Virtual Technology Specialist for Project Server. Because of John’s blend of business focused and technical skills, he was selected to run the back-office optimization services practice as Aspect. John has led the delivery of complex integration projects in the manufacturing and financial services verticals and strives to build long lasting customer relationships.
John joined Breakpoint Technology as a Senior Managing Consultant in August 2019 to return to a customer first approach to consulting services. He is a member of the local Project Management Institute chapter and continues personal development in areas focused on assisting customers with making technology choices that match business needs.
Josh Miller graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a major in Computer and Information Sciences. He has more than 13 years of experience developing .NET and SQL custom solutions, often focused on data management for healthcare organizations. He has been instrumental in developing budgeting and revenue projections solutions.
Josh was one of the original employees of Breakpoint Technology, when he joined as an Architect in September of 2016. He has worked with some of the largest customers, helping to build and support their primary business applications.
Troy Thompson graduated from the University of Kentucky with BS in Computer Science in 2006. Since that time, he has developed deep experience, primarily in .NET, SQL development, and SharePoint/O365 solutions.
Troy has worked for a variety of consulting organizations, which has given him the opportunity to work with many different business verticals. He has managed large and small project teams, as well as covering all aspects of project development. Troy brings a wealth of knowledge to business workflow solutions, particularly in the SharePoint/O365 area. He joined Breakpoint Technology as a Senior Developer in 2018.
Jayna Winchester joined Breakpoint Technology in early 2020. She is a University of Louisville 2020 Graduate, graduating from the College of Business with a BS in Business Administration with concentration in Computer Information Systems. Within her degree program she focused on Information Security, Web Development, and Business Process Management.
Jayna's internships focused on business process and project management. As she begins her full time career, she looks forward to expanding her knowledge in these areas along with building on her Information Security training.
